We aim to promote Irish culture and heritage and foster a sense of community among our members. We are committed to working with other organisations to address any issues and challenges that the Irish community faces in the Territory.

We have direct connections to the Irish Embassy and Irish Chamber of Commerce to ensure the Irish community is well represented.

We believe that by facilitating networking and professional development opportunities, we can help our members succeed in their respective fields and make a positive impact on the wider community.

The NT Irish Association was set up in 1980, the objectives and purpose of the Association remain today. Our mission is to connect and support the Irish community in the Northern Territory and promote the Irish Culture to the broader Territory Community. We do this by holding regular community events, supporting the Irish community in whatever we can, e.g. fundraising, connecting and networking, POC to the Irish Embassy and supporting Irish activities in the community, e.g. Irish Dancing Schools, music sessions etc. If you are interested in learning more or want to sign up as a member to get regular updates, like our page, sign up via the button or send us a message.

Our Objectives and Purposes are as follows -

To uphold the Irish cultural traditions especially in recreation, national games, dancing, music, literature and hospitality.
To ensure mutual tolerance and avoid sectarian strife.
To avoid party politics, and honor the Irish history and traditions - integration into the community and the understanding of the Australian way of life; to strengthen the ties with should bind exiles to their native land; to assist then to come good citizens of their adopted land; to enable them to meet and socialise on both a family basis; and individual basis.
To co-operate with groups of persons interest in the above the above objects by offering them association with the N.T. Irish Association.
